THE ENABLER
Sahayi aptly   means  the enabler

Through  a  variety of support  intervention of training information  sharing skill  up gradation , consultancy , research etc, Sahayi seeks to enable   voluntary  actors  in the  development field, chiefly in the  rural setting  to   clarify  their vision, sharpen their skills and hone  their  capacities for  improving  the effectiveness  of  their interventions.

GOAL AND OBJECTIVES

  1. The goal of Sahayi is a strengthen voluntary action and local self governance institutions in the state. The main objectives are to.
  2. Facilitate  the self and social development of the personnel in the voluntary field through   appropriate  training  exposure and guidance with a view to enhancing the quality of their interpersonal and social interaction and effective intervention in social action and enable them  to develop capacities in the areas of organizational management, staff development,  participatory action   research etc.
  3. Promote  self governance and participatory development  initiatives in rural and  under developed  urban areas in the  spirit of 73rd and 74th  Constitutional Amendment Act with focus  on the participation of women and other weaker sections.
  4. Promote  and facilitate   fellowship and joint venture  among the  CSOs in Kerala and other states in India with a view to enhancing the effectiveness of voluntary  action and  maximizing  the  impact of policy  advocacy and lobbying.
  5. Promote eco-friendly, innovative production  methods and  technologies especially  in the  farming sector.
