Activities for Poverty Reduction & Sustainable Development through Promotion of Adult Education
- State/Regional Level Seminars/Workshops
- In order to enhance the knowledge and awareness of the Adult Educators in the State on various global and local issued related to LSGs, Bio-diversity, Forestry, disaster mitigation and management, participatory development, good governance etc. Sahayi has been conducting several State/Regional level seminars.
- Vocational Skill Training
- With the intention of enhancing the vocational skills of unemployed women in poor families including widows Sahayi offered vocational skill training in cutting & tailoring, saree printing/painting, blow and injection moulding, beautician, flower/jewel making etc.
- Capacity building Training Programmes
- The overall objective of the programme is to enhance the capacity of Adult Educators/development actors thereby improve the quality of services offered by them to their target groups. A set of trainings such as Training of Trainers, Training on leadership and Communication, Training on Participatory Project Planning, Training on PRA, Training on Good governance, Reporting and Documentation, Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Organisation management, participatory monitoring and Evaluation
- Study Tours, Exposure visits, and Counselling Support
- Sahayi Offered support services in the form of study tour, exposure visit and counselling support to the State level federations, women development organisations and Networks with the intention of providing learning opportunities to their members.
- Promotion and strengthening of Networking and Linkage
- Proving opportunities for coming together initiating joint programme, facilitation support etc were the major activities undertaken under this
- Perspective building programme
- Sahayi organised hundreds of perspective building programme for elected representatives CSO leaders, Bureaucrats, Media, academia, policy makers and various other development actors.
